WebSince 1966, the Dauphin County Mental Health system has grown to serve over 4,000 adults and children and provide a wide range of treatment services and supports. Over time, services have been improved and are more specialized for adults with serious mental illness and children with severe emotional disturbance. WebThe County of Dauphin formed the Dauphin County MH/MR Case Management Unit in 1991. The name was changed in 2004 to CMU. In 2009 the term Mental Retardation (MR) was replaced by the term Intellectual Disability (ID). Organized as a 501 (c) (3), the CMU is wholly owned by the County.
