It's definitely one of the better rings in the game but because it sort of limits your options I don't like using it. For example i like maintaining mobility and as such I like to use flip ring or havel's so I can have flip/fast roll.

It's better if you have softcapped vigor, endurance and vitality. Otherwise you can try prisoner's ring for a more noticable difference.
